Radical responsibility is one of the basic and most powerful steps one can take on their spiritual path. It dissolves the first out of seven veils from our third eye. When we assume the radical responsibility, we acknowledge that we agree and often even volunteer for each and every experience in our lives. Still, we do not remember making these decisions, because they were made by our Higher Self aka our soul and not by our ego/personality.
Obviously, it is easy to assume responsibility for the good things in our lives. However when it comes to difficult, traumatic or even tragic ones, it becomes much more challenging. But when we look at our lives from a higher perspective, we realize that the most difficult times in our lives often teach us the biggest lessons. For they are often a part of our soul contracts or our soul mission.
And when we see them as that – as spiritual lessons – we understand that they are no one’s fault. And there is no reason to feel blame, guilt or shame.
Once we understand that nobody does anything to us, that nobody makes us feel or do anything. We can easily forgive everything and everyone. We can bury all the grudges and leave the victim mindset behind.
For the radical responsibility is the opposite of victimhood. Realizing that these were but our decisions is extremely empowering. It gives us a sense of agency; and it is a runway to self-mastery.
